Flat Nicole in PEI

Flat Nicole spent a few days in Prince Edward Island, also known as the Gentle Island.  She spent the May Long weekend touring about the island; unfortunately it's not tourist season yet, so most things were still closed and it was COLD!!!!
Confederation Bridge

Flat Nicole drove to PEI crossing the Confederation Bridge.  This bridge connects New Brunswick and PEI.  Confederation Bridge is 12.9 kilometres making it the longest bridge in the world that crosses over ice-covered water.  It took 4 years to build and opened in 1997.  It is said to be one of the best engineering feats in Canadian history.

Flat Nicole at Province House; this is where the 1847 conference was held that led to the Confederation of Canada.

This was the outside of Province House.

A mouse hunt that was taking place in Charlottetown.  There were these mouse sculptures hidden all over the city with clues provided on where to the mouse was hiding.

This was a lighthouse in a tiny fishing village called North Rustico Harbour.  Notice the red soil.

Check out this house...it's a camper with a house built around it.  Very different!!

Here's Flat Nicole trapped in the lobster traps.

Flat Nicole showing off the red coast. The soil and sand are red in PEI due to the high iron-oxide (rust) content in the soil.

These are the fishing boats docked in North Rustico Harbour.  The 3 main ways of life in PEI are tourism, fishing, and farming.

Flat Nicole and I hanging out in Cavendish National Park...It was very cold and I felt weird taking a photo of myself and Flat Nicole.
ANNE OF GREEN GABLES:  This historical site in Canada is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Canada.  It is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery's fictional tales about Anne Shirley, otherwise known as Anne of Green Gables.

Anne of Green Gables barn.

Catching a ride in Anne of Green Gables buggy...no horse though, so we didn't get too far.

And then I found Flat Nicole in a turnip peeler and slicer.

Flat Nicole and myself in Anne's living room!

This was Anne's kitchen...

Here's Flat Nicole poking around in Anne's bedroom....

And here she is again in Marilla's bedroom.  Very nosey this Flat Nicole!!

And then wouldn't you know it, I found her hanging out in Lover's Lane!

Always seeking adventure, Flat Nicole decided to brave the Haunted Woods trail where her companion saw a massive rat! Very Scary indeed!

There she is, quite literally, hanging out in the Haunted Woods.

One more picture of Anne's house.
Well,
